Lisa Ann Bantum

Lisa Ann Bantum, 60 of Oroville, California left this world and entered the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 14, 2025. Lisa was in her sister’s home and with her family, surrounded by loved ones when she passed away from Multiple Myeloma, a rare blood cancer. Lisa was born May 17, 1964 in Los Gatos, California, firstborn of Donald C and Judith A Bantum. Lisa had two younger siblings, Leah L (Bantum) Gillespie and Donald W Bantum. Lisa grew up in Paradise, California, where she spent hours riding her bike, playing in the woods, creeks, and orchards, and playing sports with neighborhood kids. She was well loved by everyone due to her friendly personality, wonderful quick wit and athleticism. In her adult years she enjoyed so many different things, including photography, gardening, DiY projecting, working on her souped-up Chevy S10, reading, taking care of and being entertained by her cats, and at one time studying to get her pilots license. She had a chance to go up with her nephew just a few weeks ago and it was such a thrill for her to take the controls again one last time. Lisa attained several college degrees just for the love of learning. She was a lifelong learner and continued to hone her skills in projecting and gardening in her home, an early century California bungalow that she insisted keep its original charm and aesthetics. Lisa was a Department Supervisor at Associated Pensions Consultants in Chico, California where she worked for 17 years. Her attention to detail, ability to stay organized and on target, along with being a team player made her an excellent employee who exemplified a work ethic anyone would be proud of. Lisa is survived by both her parents, Donald C and Judith A Bantum, sister, Leah and husband John (brother-in-law) Gillespie, nephew Alex (wife Jasmine) Gillespie and great nephew Osiris, niece Noelle (husband Silas) Wanje, niece Jessica (husband Patrick) Mullholand and great nephews Augustine and Thomas, nephew Gabriel Gillespie, brother Donald W and wife Marlene (sister-in-law) Bantum, nieces Bracey Crawford, Madison and Malorie Bantum. There will be a Memorial service held Thursday, March 20th, 2025 from 2-5 PM at Butte Bible Fellowship in Chico, California.
