Lila Joanne Ramirez Born June 26 1928- Passed on April 28 2025 Lila Joanne was born to Rdella G Plant and LS Plant in 1928 in Blackfoot Idaho, sister to Pete, Cleo, Wanda, Grace, and Kay. She is survived by Tom Plant. Joanne and her family moved to California during World War II at the age of 14 to Oakland, California. She met our Father and married her best friend as well as the Love of her life. Joanne was Eloy F. Ramirez beloved wife of 77 years until his death March 16 2024, they were the Romeo and Juliet of their time; a perfect love, as we were told, a love that was made in Heaven. Joanne, was and will always be a brilliant light in our lives. She is the mother of 5 children; Ron, Linda, Chris, Jacki and Kathy, as well as Grandmother of 12 and Great Grandmother of 13. She treasured each and everyone. You could see her excitement and joy when she was around her beautiful family. Whether she was cheering from the side lines at our games, offering a shoulder to cry on, or celebrating our achievements, she was our biggest supporter. She inspired us to always do our best, “that we can be who ever we want, as long as we work for it.” Joanne had a an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Her home was always open and welcoming. When her kitchen was filled with the spicy aroma of roasted green chilies, you knew you were in for a treat. We were coming home to enjoy a feast. Always any one was welcomed into the heart of the home with Joanne and Eloy. Through her liturgy, Joanne shared warmth with her friends and family. Joanne was a devoted Catholic and servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.She had attended St. Edwards in Newark,Ca for the last 68 years. She showed us through her actions and kindness, that without our faith in God we had nothing. Though she is not with us physically, her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught us and the love she shared. We will miss her gentle smile, and her comforting hugs and her unwavering love. She lives on through us, through our laughter and compassion for one another. As she would sing to us every morning: “RISE AND SHINE AND GIVE GOD YOUR GLORY GLORY CHILDREN OF THE LORD ~~”
