John William Harris

On Friday, July 21, 2023, our family’s hearts were broken by the unexpected passing our Dad, Grandpa & Brother. John was born on January 23, 1962 in San Fernando, California to Mary Helen Harris and Sam Sylvester Harris. John is survived by his two children, Hannah Fuentes and Jacob Harris; his son-in-law, Pablo Fuentes; his two grandchildren, Mia Fuentes and one unborn grandchild; and his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Jeff Campbell. John was raised in Ventura, California until he married, then moved to the Sacramento area to start a family. He resided in Roseville, California until his passing. John would make friends everywhere he went. His personality and love for people was infectious. He loved to laugh, tell jokes, and share fishing stories that would reel you in. When he wasn’t working or spending time with his family, he was fishing. He loved to be out on the water early in the morning, oftentimes with his best friend and business partner, Ryan Habenicht, with a dear colleague, or with his family. John deeply loved his family. He was most proud of recently becoming a Grandpa to Mia. His children, Jacob and Hannah, as well as Hannah’s husband Pablo and their daughter Mia, were his world. He took every opportunity to show his love for his family in big and small ways. John loved exploring nature with his family by camping, bike riding, fishing, and other outdoor activities. He loved dogs and always had a dog in his life growing up, but Chewy, the family dog, was always by his side. John would spoil Chewy with long walks at the local parks, boat rides, and the occasional pup-a-ccino from Starbucks. John was an entrepreneur at heart, and he took the leap to start his own business, IT Unlimited, LLC, with his business partner, Ryan, in 2017. The company quickly took off, and John’s son, Jacob, soon joined the business as well. John considered Ryan as another son, and he spent much of his time teaching Jacob and Ryan not only the skills for succeeding in the business but also skills for succeeding in life. John dearly cared for his many clients and business colleagues, and he considered all of them his personal friends. John’s passing has left an unfilled gap in the hearts of his loved ones. His ability to provide support and love will be ever engrained in all that knew him.
