She graduated from Marlinton High School in Alliance Ohio, June 8th 1967. Cindy was extremely athletic, ran track and cross country and continued her love of running through her lifetime. She continued her love of athletics through Sky Diving at Barber Airport in Alliance Ohio, kayaking, canoeing, camping, swimming and training for the Olympics. Her hobbies and interests were plants, gardening, sewing, reading and writing. A quote from one of her writings when she was just 13 years old, “ HOME A place to out the rain Four walls to keep out the wind Floors to keep out the cold Yes, but home is more than that It is the laugh of a baby, the strength of a father, the song of a mother and warm loving hearts She joined the Air Force in May of 1968 and was honorably discharged as a SSGT in May of 1972. She then moved to California and loved working with the environment in Landscaping and preserving the natural environment. She was appointed Chairman for the San Mateo Republican Party and worked for Governor Pete Wilson. Cindy had a special love for her cat Ghost who lived with her, traveled with her, took long walks with her and was considered her special family member. We are pleased that Ghost now has a new home. Lucinda is survived by her mother, Margaret Welty, Sister, Sue Yarian, younger brother, Ralph Farmer, older brother, William Farmer, and all her wild and crazy most loving friends in California.
