Sunrise: May 8, 1956 Sunset: December, 30 2020 Sister Edna Eddington was born to Homer Eddington and Helen Ruth Eddington in Groesbeck Texas. She was called home by the Lord on Wednesday December 30th 2020 in Sacramento, CA. She grew up in the Doyle community of Groesbeck Texas and attended Mexia public schools. She accepted Christ at an early age. She worked with the Hayward and San Lorenzo unified school districts and joined the feed the children society which she did faithfully. In 2012 she married Jesse J. Salas there were no children born into this union. She worked in the caregiving field where she cared for and loved her clients dearly until she retired. Edna moved to California at a young age and started a new life with her three children and grandchildren. She was big on family and loved them dearly. She loved cooking and dancing and bringing everyone together. She will be remembered for her caring tender heart and her love for her family. Sister Edna was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Helen Eddington, four sisters Verna Lee Mathews, Martha Eddington Hardin, Helen Echols, and Pinkie Carroll three brothers Ben J Eddington, Robert Eddington, and Edward Eddington. A great grandson Deandre Gray. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Jesse Salas of Sacramento, ca , two daughters Johnnie Eddington and Olevia Sims of Marysville, CA. A son Billy Sims Jr. five granddaughters Jasmine Franklin of Marysville, CA Jameilla Shaw of Marysville, CA and Imani Shaw of Vallejo, CA , Monique Sims of Gliabend, AZ and Kamora Jones of Oakland, CA five grandsons Calvin Hill of Phoenix, AZ, Malakhi Tate of Vallejo, CA Kaleil Jones of Marysville, CA and Samuel and Emmanuel of Merced, CA. Eight great grandchildren Neveah Crawford, Aa’niyah and Alanah Franklin, Symani and Armani Jackson, Jaylen , Mackenzie, and Kimberly Gray two sisters Johnnie Washington of Mexia, Texas and Verta Eddington of Chandler, TX. And one brother James Freeman of Arlington, TX a god-son Keven Mitchell and a host of relatives and friends.
