Clyde Mills and Gerrie (Hyman) Mills on January 13th, 1961 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The youngest (and funniest) of the four Mills children, Tim grew up assisting his father at their country church and playing endless games of basketball, softball and football with his siblings and neighbors behind their church parsonage. Everyone loved Tim, and Tim loved everyone. Most of all, Tim loved Jesus! At the age of 20, Tim felt the Lord’s call on his life to full-time ministry. Tim was trained at Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music (now Cornerstone University) and Florida Bible College. He fell in love with Michelle Grimes, a strikingly beautiful young lady, the moment he met her, and they were married in 1986 right before her 19th birthday. Tim and Michelle served in ministry together in Quincy, Michigan and Naples, Florida before founding the Chapel in Richland, Michigan, and then Eleven 1 Church in Lincoln, California, all while raising three incredible daughters. Tim also mentored dozens of young men who have gone on to serve in missions and Christian ministry. As an incredible Bible teacher, Tim has led hundreds of people to a personal relationship (and peace) with Jesus Christ. Tim was an incredible host and was known for his kind heart, his infectious humor, his love for America, 70’s music, football, and his amazing grilling skills! Tim may have lost his battle to cancer and COVID-19 on October 7, 2021, but he won the race (2 Timothy 4:7) and is now in the loving presence of his Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Tim is survived by his wife of 35 years, Michelle, along with their daughters: Aubrie (& son Princeton), Aundrea (husband Connor Graves & baby boy Graves) and Alexa Lori Anne; Tim’s mother, Gerrie; Tim’s siblings: Mike & wife Ellen, Andy & wife Cathy, and Lori & husband Mark Welch, along with their children/families and Michelle’s parents Harold and Kathy Grimes & their children/families. He will also be sorely missed by his other extended family and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his father Clyde. Timothy is being laid to rest at the Manzanita Cemetery in Lincoln, California.
